Default Kazuma Falcon 150cc Headlights just stopped working???

I removed the jello from the carb and adjusted the mixture and she purrs...Thank you to all that helped.

Next problem; At idle headlights were dimm (not sure if this is normal). While I was running it at high RPM's the headlights just shut off and wont turn back on.

Anyone want to take a crack at walking me through a trouble shoot? I know how to use a DVM so just tell me what to check first.

Thanks in advance,
PH

I'm wondering if your lights are AC powered directly off the stator or are they powered off the battery. When your lights were working do you recall if they would light up when you turned on the ignition switch, and the headlight switch, while the engine was turned off? Or did they only turn on with headlight switch on *and* the engine running?

Another important test: With the headlights turned off (lit or not), rev the the engine up and measure the DC voltage right on the battery terminals while the engine is turning at a medium fast clip. What voltage do you measure? You should see 13.5 to 14.5 volts DC. This test is determining whether you stator battery charge windings and voltage regulator are working or not. If your stator AC power output is what really runs your lights, and it is not working, then your battery charge voltage will not be working either. I'm just gathering information....
