Hello - $75 Quad (110cc). Possible help?

Hello,
I have been looking around here for a while.
But never had a quaddie (only always wanted).
I finally found one in my price range
$75 at my local mechanic!!
It's not in the best shape (using that loosely).
I have cleaned it up, used eBay for a lot of parts it's missing (CDI, puller arms and the rest).
My question is: This is a drive shaft driven quad (never used/seen one)... It has an oil hole in the rear wheel shaft, what type of oil goes in there and why is there a bleeder on it? How do you bleed it?
Sorry, but this is new. I am a dirt bike rider.

After I pulled the engine

Cleaned up some:

good deal. a little TLC and some plastic and there you go. it's ready.
i would think that "bleeder" is a relief device for the 90 wt oil to depressure when it is hot from expansion from the friction when riding.
