I got an old beat up lifan 250 cc for a project and just wanted to update everyone about the progress that I have made.

I put new Cyl, pistons, rings, and wrist pins in it this weekend and wanted to post this video.. its the first start after the work. It is running straight pipes with no muffs, so it will sound loud. I still need to rebuild the carbs, and possibly may have to replace the clutch. It is climbing hills much better but still not like I think it should. I not sure if the bog down when climbing is purely a carb issue. But I will do the carbs first. There is a slight backfire or miss on the right cyl. not sure if that is related to the carbs or not. I cleaned the head while I had it off but not much else was done to it.

UPDATE:

Got the carbs rebuilt and the Lifan is now running like a scalded dog!!! I am happy so far with this project. still have other projects that need to be done to it. next is to go through the breaks. will post more later
