Default 110cc power enhancement?

Whats up guys, I just bought a 110 quad for my girlfriends kids. Im not exactly sure the brand, its an automatic though, (im not around it right now to check but I will) but my sister had one a few years ago and that one seemed to have a lot more power and snap than this one. I was reading before I registered that some guys are changing carbs to the mikuni vm 24 and doing a pipe that would fit a yamaha or honda 90cc quad. I was wondering what all was needed to do the carb conversion and if anything needed to be modified with changing the pipe. I noticed this quad has a "air valve" for emissions, that has to hinder the exhaust a decent amount. And any other suggestions is greatly appreciated, im not familiar with the chinese quads really, more of a yamaha guy myself.

thanks

Chad

Thank you! Yes, i read that thread, it didn't mention the carb conversion specifically though. Im trying to get it moving better from a dead stop.

A larger pilot jet will help with that.. a larger main jet will help mid to top end power..

Haha thank you..I've had decent luck with previous quads (blaster and warrior). I just picked up an 2012 raptor 700 se and bought my girlfriend a raptor 350... Ill see how these rate in the grand scheme of things lol. I still have a 01 cr250 and i will never part with that

Do they even have a market of jets for these carbs? I read they tend to run lean to pass emissions and again its just better to replace the whole unit. Which id assume changing to a slightly bigger carb that i can adjust and possibly have a bigger pilot jet (obviously the stock jet on the bigger carb would make a difference as well) would probably solve my problem.
