clutch switch

is it possible to change a manual clutch to a auto on a china 150cc?

when you say auto, do you mean to a CVT/Automatic/belt drive or are you talking about a centrifugal clutch (semi auto)?

Either or but i am guessing centrifugal clutch (semi auto) would be the easier of the two if it can be done...

the china quad automatic i have has the output shaft on the left hand side and the gearbox driver/pulley/clutch is the on the left hand side going to a separate gearbox to drive the rear axle. is yours on the same side or the right hand side?

no mine clutch is on the right hand side when sitting on the atv. I also have a Baja Wilderness witha centrifugal off thecrank shaft that gears up to a normal looking clutch. I was hoping i could get something simular with out doing a huge overhaul.

so what's your quad? a tao tao, kazuma, jetmoto, hibird, SunL, some other brand? got pics?

I really dont know the make ... i was told it was a Yamati..but that is still up in the air.. her is a link to my pics...

at this point, i'm going to have to check out a diagram to see if there are ports inside that'll house the necessary parts needed for the conversion. maybe in the mean time, a real expert will chime in. i'm working on it though!
