Default 2007 JetMoto 110 Air Box

First post---

After looking and reading threads for a while I cannot find anything where someone has crafted an Air box for any JetMoto or other Chinese quads. I saw a post that said the front fender may contain an airbox straight from the raptor style plastics but not on mine. The Air filter is the K&N type facing straight to the read of bike off the carb. I am looking for ideas on creating some sort of air box as the areas my kids ride in have lots of mud. The little 110cc JetMoto I have dies every time one of my kids goes through a puddle. Very frustrating for the one on that quad at that time when the LRX 90cc and Yamaha Champ just rip right on through the puddles.

Thanks in advance

Mike

Welcome to the forum Durby!

You might try making one out of a small coffee can and its plastic lid.. cut both ends out of the can and go from there..

interesting idea.. how are you sealing the coffee can and where are you locating it? I looked under the seat where most atvs have the filters and there is no room there.. looking to do the same thing.. I want to raise it a bit for deeper water crossings and try and cover it for the splashing through puddles..

I was thinking of using a small folders plastic can of some sort. Some liquid nails around the lid and a bunch of holes drilled into the can. It could be secured with zip ties to the frame. Not sure how it would work but its better than leaving the air filter hanging out to catch the big wave and ride it to a dead stall.

so nobody has actually crafted an air box of some sort to keep the filter dry when going through puddles? I guess of the 10's of thousands Chinese quads in the US, I am the first to think of this idea! Interesting......
