supposedly the best size is an 80 guage, which converts to .0135. The smallest one in that set is .032 which is a 67ga

will it work? I dont know, but it is a big increase..
i.m.o. that set is much nicer than the ones other people used (due to the fat shafts).
This is the one other people were using off of ebay New 21pc Mini Micro-Drill Bits Set Index 61-80 w/ Aluminum Hand Drill | eBay
its cheap and ships fast from cali.. I got it 3 days after I paid for it in texas

I havent messed with it much, but I tried to drill the jet yesterday and wasnt able to make any headway. The drill bit litterally looks like a hair, so you cant put any force on it, and when I was turning it by hand it just wouldnt bite into the metal. I am going to try again later today.

I looked at that set myself. Still cant tell you if it small enough. The safer bet would be the full mico set instead of a grab bag.

I know this is old, but did you get that carb working properly HIGH BOOST? I bought a 3125 xr8 for my girls for christmas. It has a low end bog since day one. Top end was fine, but at idle/slow speed it will bog and die, even if at half throttle. So I ordered a mikini vm22, which is actually 26mm along with an intake manifold. Now the bog is worse and top end is backfiring. Pulling the carb today and re adjusting the valves. I am pretty sure the timing is set properly. I will post pictures when I get them

I just took my kids out on our quad yesterday, and was actually thinking about this thread.
I was also thinking about all the little moda that erre done along the way. Ours still runs strong. The last upgrade I made was the spark plug. On EBay there was an upgrade plug, and I thought "yeah right" it turnos out the quad starts easier, idles verter, and runa faster. I was actually surprised. Give one a shot. It was around $6.

I got it running ok, but the carb stuck out of the side and it was really noisy, and my son didn't like it, so I sold the carb. It was a pain in the *** (not too mention a little expensive) to buy a dozen jets not having any idea what ones you need.
With the mikuni it probably ran better flat out, but not any better down low.

I still have the quad and my son still rides it. The best solution was drilling out the stock jets.. it is a pain in the ***, but its cheap and makes it run much better. The details on that are earlier in this thread.

It sucks that you cant really buy dif. size jets for the stock carb.

It is pretty irritating to have these problems with a brand new unit. I looked on craigslist for a name brand but all I could find is some garbage 1984 honda for 1200 dollars so I chose the chinese atv.

I say spend $20 to $30 and buy a new adjustable carb. I have a Coolster 125 atv that has an undersized (20mm) carb that is not adjustable. Buying a 26mm carb for around $30 from motopartsmax.com You can also find them on ebay,Amazon, etc.

I would look at timing as well, remember the 125 is not a powerhouse however.
