IPC HUSKY kids ATV-need help!!
#1
My father purchased this quad for my daughter, broken rear shock ( which I fixed via mountain bike store ), but needs further attention. Prior owner 'worked' on this machine, screwed it up!! It has a Japanese Walbro PZ carb on it- main jet is #80, pilot jet is #35. Cannot find the float height for the life of me! Thinking about buying a new carb, but every place needs the machines model, serial # ( only thing I can come up with is the model # ATV 90, and the serial number - on frame - is DPCV94WCX2M ). Where can I get a repair manual, parts, any information about this darn thing??

Hello, and welcome
first thing first - get some info on the quad and see what were dealing with... what size engine? why you think it needs replacing and not cleaning? are all the pieces there?
whats the quad doing or not doing? does it start?

The old owner said he recently cleaned the carb, which I found to not be true, I completely disassembled it, found the float was at wrong setting and it was flooding out. Tried to find info of float height, no good. Took matters into my own hands, set float to where gas doesn't get to pilot jet, but does with main. The A/F mixture screw had wrong spring on it, looks like a spring from a pen!! Found another one, replaced it. Got it to run a few times, but it seems like it's running too rich ( black colored spark plug, and very irritable exhaust fumes ).
I believe it to be a 90cc, the 50cc model had 2 gears, this has 4. Not sure what else to do.

YES, except that the one I have is red in color, looks exactly the same!
Before I spent over 20hrs cleaning, etc, the machine would crack and pop from the exhaust ( so bad in fact my neighbors called the cops ), to which I believe to be a carb running to rich. I'm going to try and play with it here in a couple mins, since I found a smaller spring for the A/F screw. Ill post my findings.
Thank you all for your input, this has increasingly become more problematic than what it's worth!

the spring you speak of is on the idle screw not the A/F screw -
the A/F screw shouldn't have a spring should be just left or right of that idle screw - try screwing it all the way in then 1 1/2 turns out

Really... Conusing, I looked at another simular carb that had the 'shorter' spring sitting inside. I will take your word for it and try in a few minutes ( the spring sits mostly inside of the 'neck' of the housing that the A/F 'needle' goes into.
I will let you know how it goes. Thanks!!!

Started removing said spring, became violently ill, will have to get back once my health gets better and I'm able to try this out. Thank you sooo very much for your ideas, looking at the spring that was in there, looks like the replacement spring for the idle screw.
