Default gio 110 wont start help!!

hi everyone,
we have a brand new gio yk110 which runs great but only starts when i put a scewdriver accross the terminals on the starter solenoid so had a new solenoid sent from the dealer we bought it from
its exactly the same ! so have been told it is the actual starter switch
had a new one sent still the same
it runs great but a real pain in the *** and the kids are freaking
any ideas or help would be happily received!
thanks
p.s also have an older one that has now developed the same problem!

engage the left handlebar brake!. i think your quad has the safety interlock so kids don't run over themselves inadvertantly or the quad just takes off on its own when started. if your brake light bulb is broke and your brake switch won't illuminate it, that doesn't mean your switch is broke. you should hear a small "tink" up on the left area of the handlebars, that tells you the switch is activating. try that and let us know.

ok, need you to start chasing a loose wire from the starter button down to the solenoid/fuse area. the small gauge wire can be either kinked, cut, grounded out, or just loose and not connecting. let's start there if everything else was good.

I believe this is the wiring diagram for a Gio 110cc:

See if it matches yours. Does this quad have a remote module?

1) Turn on the ignition, and apply the brakes. Measure the DC voltage using the 20 volt scale on both the small starter solenoid wires. These are the wires that activate the solenoid and connect the big screw terminals. What do you measure on each small wire?

2) Repeat the test, but this time with the starter button pushed while taking the measurements. What do you measure on each small wire?
