Linhai ATV goes dead
#1
I have a Linhai 260 ATV that randomly goes dead and won't restart for hours. It normally starts and runs great for a while. It may run for an hour or two and then it just goes dead. The engine will turn over but it simply won't start. I started it one day and it went dead 50 feet out of the garage door. Any ideas what might cause this? Thanks in advance for any advice!

When the quad is refusing to start, do you have spark?
Pull out the spark plug, keep it hooked up, and hold the plug threads against the engine block. Turn all kill switches to the run position, and crank the starter motor. Do you see spark in the plug gap?

check the wiring under the plastics under the headlight/handlebar area. there are several items to check there. i had an intermittent problem with mine and i had a loose wire and a loose ground under there.

I'm just getting over having that same issue with my linhai and its a pain getting everything outta the way to check wiring under front cargo box area then finding nothing to be my issue. my problem was with the main hot wire from fuse box to solenoid was poorly connected. no more problems so far Honda man thru and thru but loves my linhai
