Cleaned carb and still dies when given gas
#11
You could pull the air box and look into the carb inlet while you open the throttle while its running to see if the slide lifts, that would tell you if the diaphram is working. if the slide goes up, and it still dies, you have a blocked fuel passage, and the motor is starving for gas ,so it dies when you rev it, pulls in air, but no extra fuel, bogs out.

Ok, recleaned up everything and watched the diaphram rise when i pushed the throttle. I dont know how it could be starved for gas when i cleaned the jets twice in a week. I used a wire and compressed air o clean them out.
Very frustrated with this.....
Maybe i missed something to clean, the one thing i noticed is when i loosen the air/fuel screw it will slowly tighten back up from the vibration of the atv.
Any ideas before i break down and buy a repair kit or new carb from one of these places

Or this repair kit

It's not that hard. You can get a feeler guage from most cycle shops. I never took the right side cover off. I just took the valve cover off, then got the cam in the position as shown in the video and adjusted from there. You'll want to take out the spark plug so you can turn the motor over easily. That video is pretty much spot on regarding how to do it.

Carb spring
ao I had this issue as well - I read this and then took my carb a part a bunch of times. Turns out I put the sping that holds the lid down under the diaphragm instead of on top and that was my issue.
