The BEST Chinese Quad Brand? Post yours!

Well, I've got a TaoTao 125 buggy (125-ATK), and the welds look like a *****'s ***. I mean bad.
That said, any, and I mean any, chinese quad or buggy is going to require some kind of maintenance. I generally look for one that has a good parts supply. For now, TaoTao is fine. I am able to get parts without a problem. These things sell so cheap for a reason. If you're willing to work on them, then enjoy the lower priced machine.

Ive never seen a Tao Tao buggy before...those welds look real bad.. not sure if the buggies are made at the same factory as the quads..(they werent when I was there) Those welds look like they are from the welding shop that made the pit bikes frames that Shenmao Appliance(a Jetmoto factory) bought from a local supplier.. Tao Tao and Shenmao are both in Yongkang China..

Currently working on the front steering cause this thing has terrible bump steer. Am in the process of lengthening the steering rack. Should fix it.

We got my grandson a Toa Toa for his birthday Mach 21st 2012. He has a 110D and for $580 has been a GREAT starter for a 7 year old. Only problem so far was the rear rack broke and we welded it the the axle got cocked. He has gone on 30 mile power line rides with his mother and her boyfriend. The only draw back is is will not handle big jumps as it will knock the axle out of alingment. But beats the heck out of paying $3,000 just to see if the child will stay interested in a ATV. His only gripe is it does not have reverse.

the burgundy beast
First color choice, red, second, blue, third, black, and got a burdundy chinese quad.
Ok, its true, I have complained about bent axle and wheels, and the fact the tires wear out super fast on asphalt even within minutes. Besides those little quirks, the tao tao 125d is rock solid engine. I have left it for a month with the same gasoline, and cranks on the first try. Never overheats, idles like a charm.
The carrier looked the other way and denied repairs from shipping damages, but thats another story. That poor thing has seen some air and taking a beating on mud, dirt terrain, and still runs like a champ.

I beat the snot of out every 3 or 4 days and it keeps on going, I'm 6 foot tall 200 pounds and it eats hills without hesitation. When the motor goes there only $200 new on ebay that includes shipping! you can buy a new Jug Piston and Rings for 49.00
