What gauge of Wire to use
#1
I want to go buy some new wire to rewire a few things on the quad as I was stupid as can be and had a little fire after filling the tank to much and then attempting to jump the soilnoid ( please don't comment on this as I know how stupid and dangerous it was) but some the wires got burnt not right though they are just black... I notice the wire going from the battery to the soilnoid look bigger then the rest so what types of wires to get to run a new one from the battery and then from the main harness

18 gauge stranded wire is fine for all wiring *except* the unfused and heavy current wires from the positive battery post to the starter motor (through the starter solenoid), and the heavy ground return wire from the engine back to the battery negative terminal. Those should be 10 gauge stranded wires.
Stranded wires are made up of many smaller conductors bundled together in a larger group. Solid wire (like household wiring) is one big single conductor. Solid conductors are fine for applications where the wire sits still and never moves. High vibration environments require stranded wire bundles which can flex and bend without fatiguing and breaking.
