Default Baja wilderness trail 90 carb hoses

Guys, just bought a baja 90 for my kid - had motor mounts completely broken off. Got them welded up last night and quad ran ok - I pulled carb off and cleaned with carb cleaner - completely disassembled, reinstalled and adjusted idle and mixture best i could.

My question is that it has two hoses coming of carb. The lower one on the bottom of bowl - is this just an overflow? What is the other coming off the top/left of the carb? its just hanging - is it supposed to be connected somewhere?

Just wondering cause it doesn't seem to perform at low speed take off like it should? I'm 200lb but even on the littlest incline in my front yard it has no torque to start off? is this normal? just wondering --- not a huge deal cause i won't be the one on it - just wondering....

Thanks for any advice/support!

I have a 07 baja 90cc raptor i just got it today.. And it had 2 hoses comein off the carb. I know the bottom on is n over flow but it was pluged when i got it and the top one just hung the but it leaks so much gas.. So i just looped the the 2 hoses together and even with the gas valve turned off gas would pour out the top of my carb so dont try that.. I could use some help to so if u find out where they go dont forget to post.. Thankx

yes it goes to the vacum line you should have 2 lines coming from the bottom of gas tank 1 is fuel other should go to a t and one goes to carb on top if you have a vacum operated system NS OTHER ON THE SIDE

Did you ever get this figured out? I have 2 05 Baja 90's with Deni PZ19 carbs. Both had just a stubby hose coming off the side of the carb that went no where and my gas tanks only have one hose coming off them. I never really gave it much thought. It has at times leaked gas out it, but not very often. Now I'm on a quest to figure this out

Default No help????

I've stumbled across the same issue and no one on this sifte seems to be helping these other people out but thought i would give it a shot. My issue was the carb screw came out and gas started leaking everywhere, got new screws and put it back together but i dont undertsand where the hoses go. Mainly the small hose. there looks like a nipple on the bottom and one near the top. when the gas is shut off it doesnt leak at all but when i turn it on it leaks, so im assuming that small hose goes somewhere. PLEASE HELP

Ive asked this same question and never got help (another forum). I figured it should be an easy answer....

Im guessing the long hose at the bottom is just an overflow hose, the short one on top goes to a filter then to the tank. Only thing i can think of, im still waiting on my tank to come in to try it out
