110 no spark no turn over from the starter
#1
I have a 110 that was given to me by a friend it was working and stopped.
It will not turn over from the stater button. I can jump the solenoid and get it to spin but no spark. I have cut the white wire number 5 on the cdi to see if it would get spark.
I have been trying to find a manual with the wiring for this atv but no luck can some one point me in the right direction. I can test with a volt ohm meter but dont know the readings.

put your wiring back together. test the key switch in the "on" position to make sure the circuit is complete and not killing spark. NOW, make sure the left handlebar brake handle is working and engaging brake switch. the brake light may not illuminate, but the switch can still work. verify the brake switch IS WORKING---it's a safety interlock on little quads. NOW, what's the battery's voltage? is it sufficient to engage the solenoid after you checked out the interlock and keyed switch? if the keyed ignition is good, battery is good on voltage, at least 12.6 volts, then ohm the starter button. also check the inline fuse at the battery if applicable. report back.

oh yeah, almost forgot, does it have a rear tether kill switch? a pull cord/ripcord near the tail end of the quad that allows an adult to kill the quad as it drives by? if so, make sure that switch is intact.

Thanks I will do those checks i a will have to trace the wiring down some since my buddy did try to repair a little his self. I think this thing is a panther 110 it has not been rode much his son out grew it while waiting on dad to fix. Is why I got it my boy is still small enough to ride.

just be patient. we'll help you fix it and it won't take that long. sounds like we're on the right track once we eliminate this suspect and the next one. so on and so forth. then next thing you know, BAM!, you fixed it and your boy is happy.
