shaft driven oil question ?

Default shaft driven oil question ?

hi everyone i have a 110cc loncin semi-auto quad ,its shaft driven and my question is if i change the oil in it will it make any difference in smoother gear change because sometimes when i go into gear it grinds or goes into the wrong gear ,and when i checked the oil in the shaft it was brown colour and it was sticky ,is it appose to be like that any help would be great .

Hey, i have never worked on a shaft driven atv but from general knowledge shaft oil shouldnt be brown and sticky, should be a golden colour. And also no i dont think changing it would impact your shifts, but what might would help is changing you transmittion fluid, but just a warning, trans fluid smells horrable and try and avoid spilling it because it is horrable stuff and will stink for ages!
