Lynn, Thank You so much for all your knowledge and advice. I did the two toggles and turns out that alarm system drains the battery when not in use. I just pull the fuse then no more problems. Thank you again for all the help!!! Take Care!!!

Yes, remotes are a constant drain on the battery even when the ignition switch is off. This has to be since the remote must always be "alive" to receive the radio signal that says 'turn on the quad' even though the ignition switch is off.

But the current required to keep the remote module 'alive' varies widely from brand to brand. Some draw as much as 10 mA (0.01 amps), so this would completely drain a 5 amp-hour battery in:

0.01 amps = 0.24 amp-hours per 24 hour day
5 amp-hours @ 0.24 amp-hours per day = 20.8 days.

So your battery will be completely drained in just under three weeks - if you have one of these really inefficient remote modules. When buying these remote modules there is no information on standby current consumption so there is nothing to go on.

Your idea of removing the fuse for storage is a good one...
