ok so i have a 110cc loncin quad
my problem is when i start it up its smokey when i use choke but when i turn off choke and it gets warmed up its ok ???

also i had a intake leak a while back and i replaced the o-ring and spacer and i also taped around the outside of the intake mani using
masking tape and electrical tape to prevent further leaks

checked spark plug and it was grey with oil arounf the edges?

 

stop putting 2-cycle oil in your gas

jk- probably tired top end- maybe worn piston rings.

 

its ok when i turn off choke it doesnt smoke when im driven it

 

probably as beergut said, worn rings. probably got a little oil getting by the rings and resting on top of the pistons and burning during startup. what color of smoke?

 

white it goes away when i turn off choke
another thing is when im driving at higher revs it sputters doesnt have full power ?
that could be the carb though?

 

leaned out carb truly again was really clean maybe a few bits noting major
cleaned spark plug
checked gap 0.8mm
checked throttle cable setting and the stem was 2 from the top so it was on the leaner side so i put the clip in the middle
went for a drive and it still had no power ,spluttering but if i use throttle wide open it seems ok but still splutters
and when i drove back into the shed and let it idle it was poping ,back firing abit
and a weird noise seems like an electical noise spitting noise dont no where its coming from
doesnt happen that much but i dont no after that ?
an help would be great
