Default 2002 Dinli 90cc Diamond Back Start Button NonOP

I was wonderinbg where to start? After running my wifes 90cc Quad all weekend in the Desert. We couldn't get it to start with the button anymore. No solenoid click or anything. You can use the kick start and it fires right up.

Is there a fuse or relay or ??

Any suggestions on where to start? Battery is 100% charged.

Anything else on the bike dead? If so you probably blew the main fuse. No? okay If you hit the brakes does the brake light still work (not the tail light that stats on the brake light that only lights when brakes are applied? If not you may have broken one of the safety switches on your ride. Light is fine? I'm pretty sure that isn't a ground side switch so I'd start by disconnecting the start button. Turn a multimeter to continuity beeper and touch one lead to each wire it should beep when you press the button. Beepin huh? Turn meter to DC volts ground on end have wife sit on quad and turn key on and hold brake/clutch (whatever is normally requied) Now check the wires on the bike side going to the switch one should be hot. IF one is hot reconnect start button disconnect the small wires to the solenoid have her attempt to start the bike one small wire should be hot the other ground. If all these are as they should be jump a screwdriver across the solenoid if engine turns you got bad solenoid.

I just saw your reply. Yeah, yesterday after work, I put the battery charger on the starter just to see if the motor was ok. Starter was good. I then traced back to the battery where there was an inline fuse. Opened up the plastic cover and put both connectors together eliminating the fuse, hit the start button and it fired right up. Replaced the fuse and now I'm good to go.

Thanks for your reply and troubleshooting tips!
