They actually make a set of tip cleaners that look like tiny drill bits. They come in a tool approximately the size of a pen. It has like a little drill chuck at one end. Around here they run like 11 bucks (though mine always seems to get lost about the time my friends "find one laying around" for free)

I love the drill bit style cause I tend to take in old forgotten machines and they make cleaning the jets that have been plugged for years alot easier.

do you have a pic? model number? manufacturer name? HF stock number? i've searched the internet and HF and cannot find it for some reason. i'm interested in that little tool! i presume that when one is careful, they won't ream out the orifices?

I usually pick them up at a local welding supply shop but found these on Amazon
Forney 86140 Tip Drill Set with Extra Drills - Amazon.com Forney 86140 Tip Drill Set with Extra Drills - Amazon.com

The only difference I see is mine the end near the clip unscrews to allow access to bit storage leaving the 'chuck' end mounted solid.

Some of the tips are so tiny they easly fit through the little holes on the side of a jet
