Default Suspension springs on a coolster 125

Hi everyone. Bought my son a new Coolster 125 utility ATV and he loves it. The only issue so far is that it beats him up on the trails. I've dropped the air pressure in the tires to 4 psi but the springs are just way too stiff. I can sit on the quad (240lbs) and it only drops about a quarter inch. So you can imagine what happens when he sits on it (70lbs). Is there anywhere I can get some springs that aren't as stiff? His springs are longer and thicker than the ones on my Foreman 400.

perhaps take some measurements and try to match them up with generic thinner springs?

I was talking with the owner of kidatvs.com and he said that on his kids quad he cut a ring or two out of the springs.

That will make them stiffer.
