need help wiring lifan 200
Hey everyone having a problem with this lifan 200 I just bought. We cant seem to get power to run to my coil to get spark. So here is my question...what would a guy have to hook up if he was to just run a kick start? Ive done some searching but cant find anything yo help.Would I be able to make my own harness to get this thing going. I feel pretty defeated right now. ANY HELP WOULD BE AWESOME!!!!

well kickstart alone will not work.
no spark means either A) coil is bad B) theres no power to coil like you stated. OR C) BAD CDI
now if there is no power to the coil with ignition on with a battery in the electrical system then you have a short or blown fuse between the ignition n coil.
if there is no battery and its stand alone off the stator/alternator then your rectifier is most likely shot or less likely your stator is pooped but that wouldhave caused power loss n lack of charging durring previous operation. you did not mention that so guessing its not the issue
either way the spark is controlled by the cdi through the ground. if you can wire a 12v source to the power you will once again get spark.
just get a jumper wire hook it to positive terminal on batt then other end on positive coil terminal then try for spark. if theres spark start tracing the orig positive coil wire back thru the wiring with a DVOM till you find the short

Thanks for the reply mechanic. I actually ended up figuring out the harness that came with my engine. Tested and have spark i ended up buying a kit with a test light and all that. Jut need to figure out my wires for th push button start and kill switch. Then hopefully the sprocket i orderd for my cutaway shaft will work. Ive been rebuilding what i was old was a 2005 baja 150 guy i bought it from couldnt get it running, turns out he cracked the piston and lost compression. So i bought a new lifan 200 hope to get it going soon.

A little update i guess. Got the engine wired and running. Only thing stopping me from riding is the cutaway shaft sprocket. The only place that has the 520 sprocket that will fit the lifan is back orderd. Thought about having a machine shop cut me one but idk if that would be worth the cost.
