You said you are 16, you are young and the best age to learn new things, I got my first bike at 15-16 replaced clutches, pistons and things, the feeling of achievement of making something work and knowing you did it is the best feeling around, unfortunately when I was 16 back in 1991 there were no forums like this for advice so a lot of it was hit and miss.

I urge you not to give up, I have seen it many times, friend has bike, bike doesn't work, sells to other friend, he gets bike going, first said friend is sad.

If you take the seat off can you see a solenoid, looks like a round barrel with 1 wire going to either side and then there will be 2 other wires that run to it together. there wires that go either side should be thick, 1 will go to battery and 1 will go down to starter motor, if you want to go and have a look now I will guide you through some basic troubleshooting, its only 9 am here in Australia atm and I am not going anywhere till 11 am

where the fuse holder is, that's the fuse for the main running of the bike, there should be a thicker wire that runs down to the starter motor, it will either be on the top of the motor or bottom,

the fuse holder is that white plastic thing in your second pic, you will need a battery in there to start it

not sure what auto zone is, shops don't generally charge them for people, a battery charger will do it, there is also the possibility the battery is dead
