thank you again, the DOM is the info needed to be sure of what to shop for. I saw a 6-wire universal keyed switch in a 9 pin plug on a parts site. If all else fails, is it possible to use it for key off,, key on,, and start functions, with separate lites/kill switches.?? Bob T.

is the key missing or what's the deal/issue there? the reason i ask is this, you can pull the ignition and take it to a locksmith and for <$10 get a new key or two made for the quad.

the issue is that someone had lost parts in the left handlebar switch and if I couldn't find a handlebar replacement switch, would it be possible to use the main switch on the console. this switch was originally an on/off switch, I think. someone replaced it with one that is has off/on/start functions. sorry I know it's confusing. wish I could be clear, but I,m trying to fix someone else's jury rig.

seeing how Linhai has a business relationship with Yamaha, check with your local yamaha dealer and see if they can get Linhai parts. our local polaris dealer can get Eton parts. it's worth a try.

funny you should say that about Yamaha. the first place I went to for parts was the dealer in knoxville, TN. His first response was to the effect that Yamaha had zero affiliations with Linhai, never did have, and had no parts,,,go figure.. BT

some parts on the "off brands" are interchangeable. like chevy to gmc to pontiac to buick so on and so forth. ford to lincoln to mercury. i think you get the picture. you just have to mate up the quick connects. but ebay is a fairly good source also. did you click around those other websites i hyperlinked on pg 1?

The Yamaha 250 and 400 utility quads are made in China.. Jetmoto's 2007-2009 250 utility was made in the same factory as the Yamaha version.. The 400 had Chinese versions also.. There are a few threads here that talked about the interchangeability of the Yamaha/Chinese quads and their parts...

Thanks for the links Jaster & KTM,!! I checked on the links ya,ll listed. I went out today on the hunt at two shops and got LUCKY. I picked up a new Linhai switch that has the correct color code and pin layout on the plug. Has the functions I need. I'll post how it works out and many thanks again!!! Bob T.
