200cc atv no spark HELP!!!

So is the battery dead? Or will it just not crank? If the battery is dead do you have a way to charge it or jump it? If it will not crank but you battery is charged or you jump it then, it is more than likely a safety switch. Do you normally need it in neutral to start it? Or do you have to hold the brake in?

no the battery not died i just remove it i dont have a starter on the bike so no e start i just kickstart i remove the battery to see if when i kicked did i get power i do the neutral light comes on so the sortor hav power and the bike is in nurtual and i hold brakes

Ok so the neutral light comes on, so that switch is working and it is creating some power. Does the brake light come on when you are kicking it? That would tell me the brake switch is working also. If it is we are going to have to get a little deeper in the troubleshooting with a muti meter and tracing wires. One more quick question when testing for spark you had a second person holding and watching a spark plug plugged in the wire grounded to the engine block or frame. The only reason I ask is to kick and watch at the same time would be difficult and if you try to ground to the valve cover they sometimes have a very week ground.

i had someone kick it and i kick it both time no spark i even grounded it and put my finger on the plug to see if i would get shock put no shock no spark i think my light r died but the wires r twist to gether so brakes all the time plug wires put out 12 volt on brake light wires.

whoa, did you say you removed the battery and are trying to kick start this quad? that's a bad thing. if you removed a battery, even if it is dead, you have an incomplete circuit and will fry the next weakest part. that's why factories put fuses in there---weak link without burning up expensive parts. wonder what the stator output is doing as opposed to possibly frying your CDI.

I fully agree that the battery should be in and if you have the starter off or unhooked just tape up the ends. This would make trouble shooting easier, but I have seen many that have ran that way (till not saying it is right). The low amp output of this stator is not going to fry the CDI unless there are other issues like the voltage regulator being bad especially if they are kicking it over. It is really making me think that it is in the pickup coil not adjusted right, a wire unhooked or, hooked up wrong. I have even seen the magnet be bad in the flywheel. I need a wiring diagram to work out some of these. I have contacted the manufacture. It said on their web site to ask for any manuals needed never hurts to ask.

thanx let me know about the manual
ok so the coils i use i did the coonnwty test on them so there all good.
i dont have a starter at all so no starter can be added the voltage regulator is brand new
so if i add the battery will i get spark
