Hello everybody,

this is my first post here.

I have a problem. when i stop the engine, while engine is going to stop, it restarts by itself. its happening like 3/5 times. means this problem occurs 3 times if i stop engine 5 times. not all the time. here is the picture of CDI module. please help me out to solve this problem. thanks

i'm not too worried about the CDI right now. we need some more info:
what quad?
when this happens, did you notice if the starter was running the whole time while riding? if not, watch this so we'll know the starter ain't "sticking".
what kind of starter mechanism do you have? some are a button and others are like a car or pick up truck. the key turns over to the right side, cranks the starter and the key returns to the "ON" position. which style do you have on this quad?
now, trace the wiring out at your starter button mechanism to make sure there ain't no wiring deficiency that'll engage the action full time/part time.

and also let's look at the solenoid to make sure the plates ain't staying engaged. crank the starter, once the engine runs, can you tell if the starter is still turning/cranking? if so, measure the voltage on both sides of the solenoid. the solenoid plates could be sticking in which you should replace the solenoid.

I didn't think of the starter being engaged all the time but, The ignition has to be charged to keep running. I'm presuming that it's running, not just turning over after being shut off.

Dear all,

its not a quad, its a portable generator.

I have already changed the solenoid with new one. so wher do u think the problem is.

if the solenoid's internal plates ain't stuck together, i'd say your circuit is being/staying completed in the keyed ignition circuit. in other words, your "key" is stuck in the "start"/"cranking" position sending full voltage to the solenoid, on to the starter and making it crank. check the wiring for rubs/holes in the wiring jacket insulation.

in addition to the above helpful statements...

have you tried having a priest bless it yet or just washing it with holy water?
once those evil spirits get in there- you gotta be quick to exorcise those bastards fast!
that might get your engine stopped for good

I actually have no clue as to why your engine restarts itself-

could not understand, you mean the ignition send signals to start the engine all the time. this is the actual problem??

please help me to figure out it with voltmeter, to check on the solenoid that ignition sends signals to start all the time.
