HI everyone I have a Kateraa 250 cc bought at Walmart that just quit running one day. It has been to multiple mechanics with no answer. Here is where I sit so far. Ignition coil was bad so it was replaced. Everyone says CDI's are bad but have no way to check it that I could find so I replaced it (7 pin CDI). So far still no spark. Battery is also new. I cannot get my hands on any type of a wiring diagram. There is voltage coming from the lead at the flywheel. Looking for suggestions on what to check or if anyone has a wiring diagram for the electrical system/ignition system. Many thanks.

Im new to Chinese ATV but work on motorcycles and a 7 pin CDI is not very common as I look for parts.
Most of the time it is the kill switch wire that prevents spark ..
Can you take a picture of the CDI, also how are you checking for spark?

The VIN is: L5NATMCT27T075497. Can anyone tell me what this is? (brand, size, etc.

China ATVs are known for CDI and stators burning out like cheap light bulbs. You just have to keep replacing them and hope you buy some more time.

 

I had an intermittent spark issue. It was my spark plug believe it or not. Have you changed that?
