Default 250 hi bird no spark

I have a 250 hi bird my brother-in-law got it not running I put a carb on it and it ran fine the gear lights didn't work one day I was messing with the wires at the trans and found the piece broken to show what gear put it back together and I hasn't started since I'm a ford tech and I can seem to make any sense of this tried a new coil and cdi box not sure if I got the right one I ended up with three one was the same size it didn't work I didn't check it before but I replaced the stator I found two wires chaffed toutching metal one of the colors was different on the new one not sure if it's right but I had 48 volts ac going into the cdi box but still no spark help please

you've checked the red slider kill switch on the left handlebar, correct? so it cranks but puts up no spark? right?

Yea I just pulled the pin out of the cdi connector

I just looked at it the one of the green wires at the cdi just broke and was corroded I can light a test light but it's very dim on the two yellow wires the ac circuits coming from the stator
