I have a question about my zebra 110 atv, I replaced the CDi box cause it fell on motor and got to hot and honda completely quit.. I have new CDI box installed and honda started rite up ONLY if I give it a jump fm my car..will no longer start by itself even though battery is fully charged. Do you know what's causing this?

Yes, key and switch is on.. It will pull over like its going to start but will not unless I hook up jumper cables to battery.

Besides that problem I noticed a noise when kids were riding, it only happens in third gear when you try to go fast it sounds like something is grinding..

So with the key off, what's the voltage @ the battery terminals? Then with key on measure voltage, then measure while cranking engine & report results

put it up on blocks and find the sound, check oils for metal shavings & a burnt smell

We bought a new battery and it fired rite up without a jump. Thanks! I noticed a grinding/rubbing noise when only in third gear when you try to go fast, noise doesn't slow it down or anything. Can continue to keep going with loud grinding/rubbing sound or stop then go noise will stop until you go fast again. Do you know what causing this? My husband friend said maybe transmission?

the oil will tell you the story, it may be the clutch. does it appear to try to slip when going uphill? glad you got it fired up.

run it around a while, then check temps for any outrageous temperatures. sure the tranny/engine will be hot, but a failed part may be real hot. but please check out the oil.

I would drain the oil like Jaster94 suggested and see what it looks like. If it looks good.. what you may be hearing is vibration..
