Default TaoTao 110CC No spark

Hello, new to the group... read through the sticky but couldn't really find my problem in there. Anyway, I got this secondhand ATA-110H1 single speed auto, 107cc quad. It didn't turn on or start or anything at all when I got it. Got the remote control to function, the kill switch and both front-rear brake switches working, remote start and handlebar start to work. I checked the ohm-readings on the pickup and everything seems fine, though when I do the engine-cranking test with my voltmeter set to the AC 200v range (it has 4 digits so smallest reading possible is .1v increments) and I get no reading at all except for when I quit cranking I then get a small pulse. I got a 133ohm reading on this pickup coil.

Can I get a seemingly-good ohm reading on the pickup coil and it still not work?

please help! ANd thank you so much for taking the time to read my post.

Brandon

Sounds like a bad stator.

I just found it odd that the pulser coil, or pickup coil, would have an ohm reading in the correct ball-park but have no activity when the flywheel spins... Thought I would check here before ordering a new stator to see if anyone else had this problem. Is there anyone that sells just the pulser/pickup coil separately from the rest of the stator? Seems a waste to get new lighting and cdi power coils for no reason, mine both checked out good :S :S :S

Thanks for your time
Brandon
