I bought this ATV in 2007 ran it off and on inbetween problems and the last time I ran it was in 2009 and at that time I had put a blade on it to keep my alley kleen and my sidewalk and I also know you don't over load your blade as I know what I am doing I move dirt for a living.So I was out there pushin snow and all of a sudden I had no throttle,like it would idle but that's all it would do.So I had enough of this thing breaking down,like it did not have 400 killometers on it when I put it in the shed.Well after a while it got buried in there.Well last month I decided to get rid of anything I was not using.So I dug the ATV out and decided to try it again after taking the carburator partially apart and cleaning it out and throwing some new fuel in it fired it up and the same thing happened know throttle,yet you pull the cover off the throttle and it looks like it is operating fine.So any suggestions

 

Is the throttle butterfly or slider working at the carb end? If it isn't you have a broken cable. If you have a CD carb, the diaphragm slider could be stuck or the diaphragm badly holed.

 

With the little amount of use it had i would say do a complete carb cleaning and check your throttle cable. Also check your fuel tank and lines for crud. Cable could have broke or crap in the carb
