I have a 110 Chinese atv was running but quit firing the only wiring is the basics . One thing that is strange is the motor is getting a positive ground.wich gives the coil a positive on the neg side.can y'all help.

 

how do u know the motor is getting positive ground?

 

Test light from neg to motor block.

 

The battery leads are the wrong way round, this is the only way this could happen, unless there is no earth lead at all and something is switched on. This should have blown the main fuse and possibly the rectifier. If the ignition system is AC it isn't connected to the battery so no pos or neg for that, and would be unaffected by battery polarity.
