Baja 250 - no spark issue
hi!
my buddy bought a 2006 chinese baja 250.
the wiring burnt so we changed it. Everything is connected.
first time we’ve checked it, we had no spark. So i replaced the cdi unit. Then received voltage at the coil wire! Still no spark. Replaced the coil and boom the thing fired and ran for a while.
we were adjusting the carburator and it wouldn’t restart again. I’m getting voltage on the coil wire (around 57-58v dc). But as soon as i plug the coil back again, the voltage stops on the coil wire!
i’ve tested the coil and it ohms within specs. I’m getting clueless at this point!
the coil and cdi we replaced are used. What i don’t understand is the fack it was working and now its not working anymore. Could it be a faulty cdi?
it uses a ac cdi. Yes i’ve tried removing the kill switch wire from the cdi and still no luck.
i’m out of ideas, got any?
thank you
