Hey.

I have bought a quad bike that sadly won't run as it is supposed to. I was told it was just the battery and it seemed like that was only the issue due to me being able to start it by pushing it down hill and starting it that way. I then drove for about 2 miles and then died and didn't really start again. I changed the battery but it now just dims the light when i try and start it. It's all the light, it seems as if the battery is already dying so i got a new one but the same thing happened again. Can someone please help me?

so it doesnt turn over when you use start button? have you tried jump starting it?does the same thing happen? it sounds like starter motor may be jammed. most atvs have a regulator that keeps the battery topped up so you may have a fault there too.....if this gets hot to touch thats a sign that regulator may be shot,
