Tao Tao 125 ATV won't start with starter button
New Tao Tao 125 fourhwheeler will not start when the starter button is pushed. When we put a screwdriver to the solenoid it cranks right up. We have replaced the carberator, ignition switch, choke cable and the solenoid. We even took off the starter button/kill switch and disconnected and reconnected the wires. The brake light is not coming on either. We are contemplating replacing the starter button. Need advice.

i would almost bet one of your safteys is not working if the brake light is not coming on. On ours the one for the foot brake quit working the 2nd ride. I re-adjusted and worked for a few more rides before failing again. The one on the hand brake always worked good just seems to take more force to get it to activate

The brake light is not coming on when either or both brakes are pushed. How do I check to see if the wires have a good connection? I keep reading that a non working brake light is a safety feature and won't allow the atv to start. It quit working at one time and we ended up replacing some other part that wasn't connected to the brake light and now it is not coming on again when I turn the key on but the neutral light does come on.
