TAO TAO No Compression
Hi all,
I acquired a TAO TAO mini quad for my grandson.
It is a 2012 ATA-110 (107cc)
it has sat for a few years i believe
I know it needs a new carb but I am trying to determine if it is worth putting money into. It believe it does need a new carb, however, it has no compression. the valves appear to open and close properly and I have set the lash to .07mm. I have yet to remove the head and piston. but is this a common problem for this engine?

Cylinder and piston kits can be bought for very little money so lack of compression is no big deal. It is even possible the rings are stuck and it won't need money spending. In the US fuel problems may be different (ethanol) but here in the UK I very rarely have to fit a new carb. A good clean out with an air line will usually get the most gummed up carb going again.
