I recently bought a used Baja 90 ATV. Is it supposed to have an engine sprocket cover? I was about to go buy one, but then realized the swing arm bolt is very close to the sprocket. So I'm not sure there is even room between the chassis and engine to fit a cover, so maybe it never had one. (see attached pics)
I would guess at never had one, or a simple sheet metal U section over the top chain. The engine is made to have a short alloy cover over the engine sprocket, but there was never room for this, because the swinging arm would foul it.
Yah, from what I can tell browsing Google Images for these ATVs, it looks like they never had a cover, probably for the obvious reason that the swing arm is very close. So I'll just leave it as is. Oddly though, the Baja Motorsports parts catalog HERE lists one, but I'm going to assume that was a mistake or oversight on their part.
