Coolster 110 will not start. Turns over, starts, then shuts off. No kickstart
#1
I am trying to get the Coolster started, but I only get a try or two to get it to start.
everything seems to work, but I try to start it and it cranks up, but immediately dies. Part of the problem is that my son is trying to start it and the battery is close to dead.
the Atv doesn't have a kickstart. It requires you to hold the break pedal down or it will not start. It has a kill switch on the remote, but I made sure to unlock it. I feel like if I could charge the battery enough or push start it, I could start it.
1. can I hook up a car charger to try to charge the battery faster? I have a portable unit.
2. Is there a way to push start a Coolster?
any suggestions?
thank you

As far as I know everyone charges a flat ATV battery up with a "car" charger, what else is there. Don't go for too high a charge, in fact the lowest setting it has will be best for battery life. It doesn't take all that long to fully charge those little batteries even at low amps. Not certain what engine the Coolster has, but most non Autos can be tow started, but in my opinion it strains the transmission, so I never do it. Change the plug, but I would suspect carb trouble if you are still getting problems getting it to run, after you have a fully charged battery

Thank you for the response. I jump started it with my riding lawn mower and as long as I kept the gas trigger going, it ran just fine. Stopped it and the battery still did not charge. Going to get a new battery.
the problem with towing it to start it is that the brake pedal has to be pressed or it will not start. So strange.
