Anyone know what could be causing atv to only run with idle a bit high to where it jumps when shifting even after cleaning and adjusting a/f and idle screw a million different ways worked fine for about a week but now dies if idles not a tad high

 

An air leak on the inlet manifold, or there is still some dirt in the carb, or you haven't got the idle mixture screw right. Double check you can see through the jets when you take them out, blow through them and the holes they came from, out with an airline, check for air leaks at the manifold. Then with it revving away, as it is now, on idle, adjust the mixture screw until revs are at their highest, go too far one way or the other and they will drop. Blip throttle occasionally to "clear it's throat". When you find the max revs, adjust the idle speed screw back down. If all else fails, get a new cheapo carb.
