1988 LT230e.

After running the atv for a few minutes and it seeming to idle fine, it will begin idling very high and you have to turn the adjuster on the carb down. It will then idle fine again for a few minutes then starve for fuel and die.

What do I need to do to get this thing idling properly????

 

First give the carb a good cleaning.
If the problem is still there, it sounds like maybe an air leak. Possibly a cracked boot that holds the carb on.

 

Try playing with the idle air screw. Its the one that doesnt control the idle.
