Default 2008 Odes CDI

Hey,
New to the forum have been searching for a couple days for a CDI for my quad.
Was riding and quad started to run rough and misfire badly and then died and wouldn't restart. No spark at all, checked CDI and it was cracked in two. ( Looks like it was cracked prior as it was zip tied together from previous owner )
I have looked everywhere for one, the ones I have found are AC fired and mine is DC fired. ( I have just one wire that goes into the 2 pin connector on the cdi )
Called Honda to see if they could cross anything but to no avail.
Anyone know of a Honda part # or know of somewhere to get a CDi for this? I am in Alberta as well.

The Honda 450 is AC/DC sort of, as it has a yellow from alternator going into it. Best to check out where each wire going to the CDI, comes from. I have a feeling some early 300s were DC but they had a wire from the neutral switch as well, which incresed the spark when starting. There is someone on here who lives in Canada and specialises in Odes bikes. He may know more

As it happens I was fixing a Honda 300 with no spark yesterday, turned out to be rodent damaged wires next to CDI. Anyway, had to check the wiring diagram, and the 300 also has a yellow wire from alternator to CDI so must by hybrid AC/DC as well.

Be sure your wiring has that yellow from the stator and one from the neutral light, both going to the CDI, or it may not work properly. The Honda 300s and 450s have a wire to the neutral light to give extra spark power when in neutral, but on the 300s production run, kept changing how this worked every couple of years, so fitting a different CDI every couple of years, so, if your wiring has those neutral and stator wires to CDI, you are probably best getting a 450 CDI as djshad wrote.
