I have a Lifan 125 that I put in a ct90 frame. All went well until the harness that it came with ( a total POS ) melted while running
I ordered a new one with new coil, CDI Relay, key and rectifier. Installed it but Wont spark at all. Rechecked connections, hooked up battery. Nothing. Swapped over spare components, checked grounding of the new coil, added second ground wire to the coil. Nothing. Tried 3 NGK
plugs gapped to 0.6 ...tried bypassing the ignition switch. Wont spark with kicking and wont turn over the started motor. Im out of ideas. I know someone in here has had a similar issue.. everthing is new or almost new
im at the end of my rope with this thing.

 

Not sure which wiring harness you have, but many have a safety switch that needs to be engaged or bypassed. Usually a Solid black wire and a green with yellow stripe.

 

YES, It has a kill switch. I have checked
It with a multi meter. It has a complete
Circuit and will not spark either on or off or completly unplugged from the circuit. I grounded the motor to the body and checked the stator wires for damage. Nothing. I am going back to basics. It only needs 3 wires to start, I
will have to try that next.
