Default Chinese Electrical Issue

New to the forum - I have a 300 that was running - having battery charging issues, but now when I go to start the bike, I pull the brake lever and that kills all power. Let go of lever and power is back...Any ideas??

thanks

First make sure you have a good fully charged battery. Check both live and earth leads from battery for bad connections. Check if the wires to the brake lever are getting warm when you have the brake on, this would indicate a short in the brake light circuit or (if fitted) lock-out circuit for the starter.
