I got one of those motors took it out of the old tao tao 250b 4 forward 1 reverse and I got the carb for it as well if you are in NJ you can have it if ya pick it up

 

Yes, it's got some unusual features. There's the shift lever that only a small Chinese woman can get her foot under. It has a transmission that shifts down into reverse from neutral with a gentle breeze. The carb was set very rich. I removed a white plastic shim from the needle and dropped it (the needle) to it's lowest groove and it's still rich!
Is it common on these things to have all four disks operate off just the brake pedal?

Thanks Brumbear. If I get down there I'll look you up. I live in Ontario. Never been to NJ. I don't expect to anytime soon. Got some friends in MI. Met a lot of good folks in the US of A but that Koran quoting guy in the Whitehouse concerns me.

Did anyone ever figure out where to get a parts breakdown for this thing I need some help with the rear axle somebody had it apart and appears like there’s a spacer something missing from the End by the Hubs or the callipers
