Default Snorkel

Anyone ever tried putting a snorkel on these little 110 imports? Im realizing the little one wants to go deeper and deeper. Got the airfilter soaked today so it did not want to run the best after that. With a open airfilter and no airbox not sure how m gonna do this? Also these airfilters that come on them. are they oiled?

See if you can find a coupling, and run a PVC snorkel up with a filter on the end?

ya thought of that. but their are 2 issues i see with doing it that way. air filter will get knocked off in the trails by trees or something. unless i mount t 3 feet in the air its still going to get wet she speeds through the puddles sending water everyware.

What about running it up in front of the steering stem? A little splashing won't hurt it, it's ingesting large amounts of water that causes issue.

I'm thinking if it's up by the steering stem, then most splashing should be caught by the body, and it shouldn't get knocked around, as whatever you'd hit with the filter would be immediately hitting the handlebars!

Lol you have never seen my little one go through a puddle. Their is not one part or her or the quad that is not wet or muddy. As soon as these small cc engines get a wet filter they run like crap. Nothing more frustrating for a little one stalling every time she slows down. I seen some filters on ebay that have a plastic housing on them I may have to look into one of those. Or run the snorkle up front and put a larger elbow on the end and get a pc of air filter foam oil it and stick it in their for a filter

Maybe try and make a shield out of a small steel coffee can. I made one for a buggy I made for my boys a few decades ago. I cut out both ends and used the plastic cap on the closed end. Was going to make something for my Chinese quads eventually but it hasnt rained much in Ca in a few years.

What about a plastic type box around the filter or (this may sound funny)..one of the wifes old Tupperware containers? You could cut a hole for the carb intake and attach the filter on the inside, make a bracket to the frame for this container and have the lid as an access point?

If you run in water I would also use some dielectric grease and seal up some of the electrical.
