Are you sure? The 1990s Foreman 400 is a very different engine to the 2000 to 2006 350 Fourtrax that the Odes engine is based on. I would guess that the 2003 to 2006 400 Rancher Auto gasket and piston may be closer. Foreman's bore was 86mm. The 400 Auto bore 85mm I have pulled these sizes off the net, so they may not be accurate.

 

1- first - I not Mechanic I do some little thing in my all 3 ATV
2 - reason I get involved in ATV and Parts because my kids’ choice this Honda Copy and you could get service and parts in North America . but after factory discontinue to make parts i start challenge . I Buy all the parts anywhere anything I can find . just in this time i have Enough that my children do not need any part for many years.
3-Because I was involved during this period a few years ago and one of the Atv engines need repair and unfortunately one of the mechanics . had no knowledge after he change oil pump { New Honda part } Motor totally Toast it . That mechanic was working in privet and no liability so I should build other engine that was more and more experience for parts
4- my own ATV is Honda 420 rancher 2019 and before rancher 350 . That is why I Order all kind of parts from Honda and not match with Odes ATV

So when 1 of the members asking me for size piston of Honda match with Odes ? I said yes, he did not say what years and what size and what model he needs to know .
There is an expression ( Anything round is not a ball ) . I’m glad you mention the model and years . if Admin of site is interest, I have service and parts book which anyone need they pay dealer around $30 or so . I will be happy to let’s download in site for free to have in this site for members . hope everyone have really good new years

Piston is 79.5 mm and Odes is 79 mm the mechanic asks me to order and i did . so After I pick up my ATV I see was smoking. ask him why is Smoking . I was told is oil in exhaust and i should let run for Couple hours i toke it home and After 10 Minutes bang and engine seized . of the member of The ATV CONNECTION see it in my home Piston was over 1000 pieces . but Ring was no Damage and this member need help i did because is local around Vancouver . and easy to see face to face . anyway, my Question is . possible for 79mm to 79.5 happened to engine and cost me more then 1 new ATV just to replace engine ?

i Really appreciated if you let me know . I did learn lots from this site and members and hope in last few years i could be helpful for other members

Having a bit of trouble following you, but the 2000 to 2006 Honda 350 had 78.5mm bore and the Odes 79, my guess would be, if you can't get Odes pistons, a 0.5 oversize Honda piston would be the right one for standard Odes bore. Head gasket for the 350 Honda is going to be nearest too. It was tkopp's mention of 400 Foreman that alerted me, as I wrote above, a very different engine to the 350 Rancher that Odes copied.

Hello Jerry, I have a 2007 Odes 400 and i was wondering if you could e-mail me the service manual or any manual you have for it. Someone before me butchered the wiring harness and now I'm trying to fix it up. If anybody else has this information please help.
