Reg Wheels bearings to match
#1
Greetings . I wanted to know between you my friends and the members of the group. Has anyone changed the bearings of the rear wheels of the Odes 400 ATV, and if so, which of the other ATVs are the same size as the one you purchased ? Is your ATV Odes Independent Excel or not ? or only 1 piece? Yesterday I was preparing ATVs for the outdoor season. I saw that the rear wheel of my children has a little play not too much , because last year I changed all the front and rear bushings. I think The only problem is the bearings, if anyone can help, I would be very grateful

Most bearings have the sizes stamped on the inner or outer race. Failing that, an accurate measurement of inside dia, outside dia and width, should enable any local bearing supplier to match the bearings. Same goes for oil seals. Inside dia of seals is more accurately measured by checking the size of shaft that runs in it. Take the old ones to the local "engineers supplier" and they will match them.

Take a very close look at the hubs when you wiggle those wheels. I usually shine a light on them when doing it as you can see where the play is, bearings or bushes, or just a loose bolt. A tiny bit of play at the hub shows up as quite a lot of movement at the outside of tyres. I find polybushed suspensions can wear rapidly. I fitted a 400 King Quad front lower A arm with polybushes two years ago, originals were rubber. Came to service it last month and the polybushes were well shot, top A arms still had original rubber bushes and were still fine.
