3) General Discussions..No problems but would like to discuss your Chinese quad experiences post in here.. You can also post in here why you hate your Chinese quad..
Hey guys, I'm new here and new to the hobby. My brother picked up a cheap Chinese quad and I'm not sure the year or model. My brother is super experienced when it comes to the name brands but even he was stumped on this. Hope anyone can help. It's also a 250cc!
Not much distinctive about it, Yamaha Raptor copy plastics and probably a Honda clone engine. An unusual feature is the ring of warning lights on the dash, are they gear indicators? Someone on here may have come across that, and be able to give you a makers name. There should be a vin number on it somewhere.
Yeah, they are gear indicators. I plan to remove them. My brother says the good thing about most Chinese quads is that parts are usually universal, Which is good. I just want to be sure on what it exactly is so I can get some specs on it. I'm also going to be buying yellow plastics for it and blue Nerf bar nets. I want it to resemble a Suzuki Ltz-250. It runs, it just needs some love!
Although yours looks a bit odd, a gear indicator is quite handy. It may be because I am riding a different bike every day but I find myself glancing down to the speedo, to check which gear I am in, on Hondas.
Update, got new plastics and identified it. An 06 hi-bird.
Hey everyone, its been half a year now, ill give and update. I found out that this is a 06 hi-bird. I got new plastics and took the gear indicator off. It needs to be rewired now becuase something happened when it was taken off. It needs a new gas tank, front levers, a seat, foot pegs, and an exhaust. Heres a before and after! I plan to make it a 250cc two stroke. Its currently a 200cc 4stroke
