Default Another plea for wiring loom issues!! Help!!!

Hi folks, I am currently trying to restore a worse for wear Jianshe JS250. The original wiring loom was a "Frankenstein" affair and the headlights, indicators and horn are all missing so I bought a replacement loom but unfortunately, many of the wire colours do not match. I will attach photos to show these. The instrument panel works and the gear position indicator works and will show all the gears, including neutral. It will not show reverse unless I earth the green/yellow directly to the frame so that could be a faulty sensor. The bike will start and stop with the pullcord but I cannot get the electric stater to work unless I bridge the solenoid terminals. I have downloaded the workshop manual but the colours there do not match the new loom either and the supplier say's that Jianshe have confirmed it's correct but neither they, or Yamaha have replied to my emails. Sorry for such a long post but I don't need any lights etc to work, I just want the damn thing to start on the button!! Pics attached with more to follow, please HELP!!

So the main problem is the starter won't work "on the button"? Looks like some of the new loom is following Honda wiring colours whereas Jianshe may have used Yamaha colours? Anyway guessing thin red from solenoid will be a live for ignition, yellow/red will be pos when start button is pressed, so green/yellow will be earth. Either of these may go through safety lockouts. So check if the green/yellow is earthed with brake on and in neutral, note you do have a green/yellow "dangler" in the last of your first lot of pics. If the green/yellow is showing earth at the solenoid, check the yellow/red does go to the start button and that the button is getting pos power when the ign is on.

Thanks Merryman. Yes, non electric start is the issue. It's just for use on my farm so doesn't need anything else!! The green/yellow from the solenoid shows continuity with the one on the "dangler" so I think it might be for the rear brake switch. It doesn't have continuity with the same coloured front "dangler" which I thought might be for the front brake!! The yellow/red changes to a purple/red at a connector and leads to the start button, .along with a black. I will try to see if I can get power to the small red on the solenoid today.
I had downloaded the Yamaha 250 atv wiring diagrams plus the Jianshe 250, plus the 125 bike ones but they are no help!!
