New Piston Re-Hone Cylinder?
#1
Hey guys, I wanna get the Alba Cam and Spring kit. You get the higher comp. piston with the new rings do you think I should have the cyl. re honed? There maybe a lip where the piston rings never hit and bust the ring. Let me know Thanks in advance.

i sent my jug to wisco off of my 95 wolverine. they bored it and mached a 10.25 comp piston to it. with shipping and insurance it was around 200 bucks. it was well worth it, and gives me piece of mind. p.s. it included the gaskets.

As a very minimum ... the cylinder needs honed enough to put a cross hatch that will allow the new rings to seat.
It there is a ridge ..... you may need to oversize the cylinder ( and piston ) to remove it.
